Randy,

I enjoyed your article. Growing up in the 1950's, the Redskins were the only team we could get on our rabbit ears. It snowed every game or at least that is the way our little Philco TV looked. I have been a skins fan ever since and I am definitely one of the "over the hill game."

These are trying times for Redskins fans. But we learn to deal with it. We even love Bryan Hanks.....his hit and miss performance reminds me of the Skins. But we love them both......Hanks and the Skins. It even money who is the most out-of-shape.

Good article but it was a little hard to understand. It flows too well! (We're used to Hanks' blog in which he tells two or three unrelated stories in one blog post. I think he may be calling the plays for the Skins.)

Randy,

Since the creation of the new athletic conferences, I'm not seeing anything in print or on the internet talking about the new Southeastern Conference (Richmond, Scotland, Pinecrest, Hoke, Purnell Swett and Lumberton High Schools). I've been a subscriber to the Observer for over 13 years and I know that there are a large number of people from these communities and the 5 counties they reside in that have subscribed longer than that, who would love to see their teams covered in greater detail. This is particularly true for soccer. We have no idea what the standings are for the conference and I can't even find a website for the conference. I was hoping you might be able to help us fans and parents out.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
